Project Hōʻike
KS Kaiāulu and Nucamp have partnered to elevate and support career development pathways for skilled, inspired learners to improve Hawaiʻi, achieve financial stability, and grow a greater sense of kuleana to community and Hawaiʻi.
Give-back Projects
A goal of the KS Kaiāulu + Nucamp partnership is to support the development of technical skills in service to Hawaiʻi and our Hawaiian community. In alignment with this goal, participants in the program are asked to apply their learnings to a "give-back" project, where they use the skills they have grown within the program to support Hawaiʻi and our lāhui in novel, creative, and functional ways.
Below you will find a showcase of some of the projects students have created.

Kahua Waiwai: Digital Edition

Jessica Nakamura

A digitized experience of the classic Kahua Waiwai workbook created to guide Hawaiʻi children and adults in building a foundational knowledge of financial literacy

Tech for Good

Sophia Davis and Giovanni Vila

Tech For Good connects local Hawaiʻi organizations who need technical projects done with students and upskillers who are learning these skills and would like to build up their portfolios through volunteering. This allows volunteers to gain hands-on experience, form connections, and use their new skills to make a difference in their community.
