Calling all young adults who are down to get dirty!! If you want to get outside this summer and be immersed in 8 weeks of all things related to fishpond restoration then apply for our summer internship here at Heʻeia Fishpond. We are looking for applicants between the ages of 17 and 24 years old who can work 30 hours per week between June 6th and July 29th. The pay rate is $14/hour and medical benefits are available.

Interns will participate in rebuilding the fishpond wall, removing invasive vegetation including mangrove and hau, propagating native shoreline plants, out planting a variety of native plants and food crops, and other activities related to the culture and practice of managing a traditional Hawaiian fishpond in todays world. This is truly a unique experience and we are excited to host this internship again after a few years.
