PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

In papa Environmental Justice, we invited guest speakers involved in sustainability and climate resiliency efforts to present to haumāna. From racism and structural oppression to economic inequality and climate crises, they spoke to how all of the issues–whether environmental, social or political–are all connected.

The possibilities are endless when ʻōpio have the opportunity to unleash their creativity! With a game that's flexible enough to create simulations of real-life experiences, there's no limit to the challenges that you can create to help keiki understand the world and solve problems that mimic reality.

Our Environmental Justice class hiked Lyon Arboretum for their huaka'i (field trip)! While exploring the garden, haumāna and parents learned about plants that are native to Hawai'i and plants that were brought from other parts of the world.

"Lele got so many compliments on her drawings and her overall overall observant nature. She stuck by the kumu the entire time asking lots of questions and pointing out her observations. Thankful for this quiet time spent together. Send your keiki to this program kākou. Outstanding!!!!"
