Youth participating in our programs were able to participate in vocational training opportunities of their choice. Youth in our Building Program Summer program were primarily focused on learning about foundational understandings of construction, including how to properly read and evaluate measurements in order to construct tiny homes for kupuna. Construction projects were ground up, with a special focus on building tiny homes on a trailer. Youth were also involved in lumber milling operations and how to safely mill, cut and measure rough cuts for future projects.

Youth in our agricultural operations at Mahele Farm were able to learn about the soil web and participated in numerous activities to understand microbial life and positive environments that can help to bolster organic food production.

Besides vocational learning skills, youth were also educated in work-readiness and building positive work and career habits, that focused on follow-through, attendance, punctuality and communication.
