PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

  • Served 4 communities: Kāneʻohe, Honolulu (Kūhiō), Kaʻū-Keaʻau-Pāhoa Complex (Keaʻau Elementary) & Online


  • Engaged a total of 87 keiki across 4 sites in authentic Hawaiian culture, Aloha ʻĀina and the arts.


  • Students participated in huaka‘i to historically significant wahi pana within their ahupuaʻa and in other ahupua‘a across O‘ahu to provide each student with a comprehensive cultural experience focused on Hawai‘i culture.


  • Engaged in visual arts lessons that are focused on perpetuating Hawaiian culture, and creating public works of art that honor Hawaiʻi's culture.


  • Engaged with kūpuna and cultural practitioners from their communities who are preserving and perpetuating Hawaiian culture.
