About the event
Join us at the beautiful Waiheʻe Valley on Oʻahu for the third annual Waiheʻe Fest, hosted by KEY Project. This public-facing event welcomes the Koʻolau community to enjoy a day filled with cultural activities and entertainment.
Event highlights include:
- Free Hawaiian cultural workshops such as lei making and ʻohe kapala
- Live entertainment featuring mele and hula performances
- A variety of Native Hawaiian vendors showcasing crafts and food
Last year’s event, held on October 11, 2025, from 4 PM to 9 PM, featured multiple community groups, hālau, and performers, as well as Hawaiian cultural practitioners teaching their crafts. The event also included about 20 vendors selling a range of food items and other goods.
KEY Project will utilize fundraising from merchandise and food sales to support its programs, with all profits benefiting the community members in Koʻolau, Oʻahu, where the majority of participants are Native Hawaiian (70% - 80%).
