About the event
This event is an immersion into the mana of Queen Liliʻuokalani for 30 teenage at-risk Native Hawaiian girls. Held at the historic seat of the Hawaiian Kingdom on the Queen’s birthday, the event serves as an assembly (ʻaha) where our daughters reclaim their dignity and voice.
Led exclusively by the Queens Court Mentors, the program features "living history" oratory focused on the Queen’s resilience, Kingdom law, and the transition into Hawaiian womanhood. The formal tea service is utilized as an interactive classroom for “Kamaʻilio Etiquette," where girls practice Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques reframed as cultural protocol (O.A.R.S. skills).
Every participant receives a premium Pūolo Legacy Kit (a $50 value) containing custom-made cultural assets. The event utilizes battery-powered projection technology to deliver visual moʻolelo in the field.
