About the event
The 2nd Annual Malothon: Holo for Da ʻOlos is a culturally grounded community wellness event hosted by Hoʻoulu ʻIke Center for Hula and Mele at Ka Waihona o Ka Naʻauao. This event aims to enhance community wellness through movement, hula-inspired practices, and intergenerational learning rooted in Hawaiian values.
Building upon the success of our 2025 Malothon, the 2026 event expands participation, cultural engagement, and community impact. In 2025, the Malothon engaged 80 participants, 40 fitness class participants, and 30 poly fitness participants, with approximately 300 total attendees. This strong foundation demonstrates both community interest and program effectiveness.
In 2026, we anticipate significant growth in participation and attendance due to increased visibility, strengthened partnerships, and expanded outreach efforts.
