Punalu’u Poi-Farm to Table

Join us for a true farm-to-table experience at KSBE Punalu’u Ag Lots, where participants will engage in hands-on activities related to food production. This event focuses on the harvesting, maintenance, and planting of kalo (taro), allowing attendees to gain insight into the work involved in growing food.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

• Harvest kalo, which will be processed into poi.
• Enjoy a delicious lunch made with fresh ingredients from the farm.
• Take home a few pounds of poi.
• Experience traditional and modern methods of processing kalo, including ku’i ‘ai (the traditional way) and milling poi.

This event aims to provide poi for the community and create a space for individuals to participate in food cultivation and appreciation.
