About the event

Event Description

The Molokaʻi Kōnane Tournament is an all-ages, in-person competition celebrating the traditional Hawaiian strategy game of kōnane. Players from across the island are invited to compete, with the top two finalists advancing to the Hawaiʻi semifinals at Bishop Museum on Oʻahu.


This special tournament honors cultural practice and ʻike kupuna, offering participants a rare opportunity to play kōnane in a meaningful community setting at Keawanui Fishpond.
