About the event
Hoʻomōhala O Molokaʻi Foundation will host a Hō‘olaule‘a designed to strengthen community bonds through hands-on Hawaiian cultural learning experiences. The event will feature active workshops including:
Poi pounding (kuʻi ʻai)
Lei-making
ʻike kupuna storytelling
ʻĀina-based education stations
Cultural practitioners and kūpuna will guide keiki and ʻohana in participatory experiences that deepen their connection to ʻāina, to each other, and to valued Hawaiian practices.
This gathering is intentionally structured to move beyond passive entertainment and instead center meaningful engagement, cultural transmission, and shared ʻike within our Molokaʻi kaiāulu.
