About the event
The Maui Comic Con is the only free-to-the-public comic convention in Hawaiʻi, dedicated to bringing a family-friendly event to the community of Maui every year.
Local and Hawaiian artists are provided with free exhibition space, promoting creativity and connection within the local community.
The event includes:
- Educational Day: On Friday, high school students are bussed into the college campus to experience a curriculum of arts-based education aimed at encouraging enrollment at UHMC.
- Main Event: Held on Saturday and Sunday, this segment features local and Hawaiian artists, vendors, a cosplay competition, live panels and interviews, and locally produced film screenings.
