About the event
Participating in a road clean-up for community service is more than just picking up litter—it is an expression of caring for our ʻāina, the land that sustains and connects us. When community members come together to clean roadsides, they show respect for the environment and for one another.
Removing trash from the streets protects the soil, waterways, and native plants that are part of our shared home. It also strengthens relationships, as neighbors work side by side with a common purpose rooted in kuleana (responsibility) and mālama (to care for).
By mālama ʻāina through road clean-ups, we honor the past, protect the present, and ensure a healthier, more beautiful place for future generations.
