Malama Hamakualoa Maui at Hamakualoa Kulaiwi

Join us for the Hāmākualoa Kulaiwi Turns 10 — Kōkua & Community Day on December 12. This unique event combines a working day with a community-wide celebration.

As part of Mālama Hāmākua Maui's ongoing stewardship efforts, this gathering invites the broader community to:

• Participate in meaningful restoration work, including native plantings and invasive species removal.
• Reflect on the past ten years since the County of Maui purchased the land as an Open Space Preserve in 2016.
• Engage in discussions and reconnect with neighbors during a time of sharing and storytelling.

This event is not just about caring for the ʻāina but also about emphasizing that this preserve belongs to the community and its future is a collective vision.

Hosted by Mālama Hāmākua Maui.
