Lā Honua 2026 | Hui Hoʻoleimaluō

Lā Honua, or Earth Day, is a global celebration that supports environmental protection across different climates and communities. Since 1970, people have participated by taking action against climate change through mālama ʻāina in various ways.

On April 18, 2026, we are hosting our 4th community Lā Honua to celebrate the spaces that feed and provide safe space for our lāhui. This event is open to all ʻohana of all ages and will provide opportunities to hoʻōhuli i ka lima i lalo and connect to ʻāina through māla and loko iʻa. As we celebrate our coastal ecosystems and the stewardship of such, participants will not only work in our spaces but also the greater community space of Waiʻōlena to ensure clean and safe access for kanaka and wildlife to thrive.

This opportunity will help us launa with each other and foster connections between different communities, strengthening the willingness and desire to mālama ʻāina.
