Preparing for PRAXIS exams and navigating teacher licensure in Hawaiʻi can feel complex. Ka Lama is here to support you.

This statewide virtual workshop is designed for PreK–12 educators across Hawaiʻi who are pursuing additional PRAXIS licensure or preparing for exams as part of their teacher training or career advancement. Participants will learn about PRAXIS requirements at different stages of the licensure journey, including pre- and post-licensure.

Gain clarity on the roles of key partners in the process, such as the Hawaiʻi Teacher Standards Board (HTSB), Educational Testing Service (ETS), and state-approved teacher education programs (SATEPs). The session will also explore how educators can add teaching fields—including STEM, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education—with navigation guidance and support from Ka Lama.
