About the event
Kamaʻāina Come Home (KCH) is a community-based career exposure and professional networking event designed to connect Hawaiʻi students and residents with kamaʻāina studying or working on the continent, alongside local employers from high-demand industries including:
- Engineering
- Clean Energy
- Technology
- Healthcare
- Finance
- Business
- Public Service
Hosted by the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Foundation, this event creates structured, welcoming opportunities for participants to:
- Build relationships with decision-makers
- Learn about career pathways available in Hawaiʻi
- Strengthen their confidence and professional networks
The program includes welcome remarks from industry leaders, guided speed-networking rotations between students and executives, open networking, and resource sharing aimed at helping participants translate education into meaningful employment in our islands.
KCH is part of a broader strategy to retain local talent, reconnect kamaʻāina to opportunities at home, and build stronger bridges between education and industry.
