Hanau Hou Arts and Fashion | Kalakoa Product Creative Wellness

The Hānau Hou Arts & Fashion Show is a public, community-centered arts and fashion event held on Hawaiʻi Island. This event brings together local designers, models, youth, and ʻohana for an interactive celebration of creativity, mentorship, and cultural expression. Now in its fourth annual year, the event features a live runway presentation that highlights original designs while creating meaningful opportunities for participants to engage in the creative and event production process.

More than just a runway show, Hānau Hou is intentionally designed as a learning-by-doing experience. Participants actively collaborate in preparation for and on the day of the event, developing skills in design, presentation, communication, and event coordination. Open to the public and affordable to attend, the event strengthens community connection, fosters intergenerational engagement, and expands access to creative learning experiences across Hawaiʻi Island.
