About the event
Kōnea Ola's Theory of Change aims to empower individuals and entities focused on the integration of Hawaiian culture, ecological restoration, and inclusive opportunity within Hawaiʻi’s communities in need of recovery or economic development.
This workshop will cover essential principles for natural resource businesses, teaching participants how to promote skills, services, and products effectively. Attendees will also learn to establish an online presence to facilitate e-commerce.
The first 20 registrants will receive a one-year basic subscription to Wix, and during the workshop, Kōnea Ola's staff, alongside a contracted professional, will assist participants in building a basic website for their business.
Throughout the workshop, Hawaiian culture and history will be emphasized, including event structure (invitations and protocols) and recognition of Hawaiian leaders who exemplify the promotion of local and sustainable products and services. Refreshments from the land will be served.
Liana Katase, a Kamehameha Schools graduate and experienced natural resource professional, will lead the event with support from Kōnea Ola's board members and staff.
